Icy greetings

Hello from the year 2050! I am writing from a research station in the high Arctic. Our partner station on the moon has just sent us new samples to analyze. We have an ongoing exchange program of researchers and next week it is my turn to pack up and leave Earth for six months. I will be trying out my current sampling robot that can collect moon regolith, a.k.a. moon rocks. Its mission: extract water from the regolith! The robot has braved the ice so far, so I have high hopes for it on the moon. Can’t wait to see what life is like up there!
